EXHIBITION CONCEPT

For the gaming fair in Salzburg, a booth for the Media Design program at FH Salzburg needed to be designed. The challenge was to work with a given list and utilize furniture and equipment already available at the FH. Our goal was to work as cost-effectively as possible and spend little to no additional money. The booth had to include the following areas: information desk, FM4 live broadcast area, multiplayer gaming area, single-player gaming area, and virtual reality area.

Our vision was to design the booth as a shared apartment (WG in German) to emphasize students, their gaming projects, and networking. By using adhesive tape on the floor to outline a 2D floor plan of an apartment, visitors are guided through the booth. In the single-player gaming area, columns are placed where visitors can identify which table corresponds to which game. Pictures of the game developers are placed in picture frames. The corkboard provides visitors with the opportunity to leave comments and suggestions on notes with pins.
